Karen Stoneham will be our presenter, sharing her mosaic wall hangings, garden art, tiled tables and a 20-foot long mural mosaic entitled “Water’s Journey”. Karen loves to create dynamic visual objects by combining tile, broken tile and found objects into mosaic improvisations.. Her background in floral design, mathematics and music informs her work. Inspiration in this medium came from seeing the ‘trencadis’ broken tile mosaics in Barcelona and the Islamic palace tilings and reliefs in the Alhambra in Granada, Spain.
