11:00 AM11:00

Spring Plant & Bake Sale

Drop off plant: 9:30 - 10:30 AM

Sale Begins: 11:00 AM

The sale is our twice yearly fundraiser to help pay the rent and pay our speakers that present our wonderful programs. By donating plants for the sale, shopping and volunteering at the sale, you are helping the club in many ways!

Please bring your plants early, so they may be priced and arranged. Bring your potted and rooted perennials, trees, bushes, succulents, bulbs, houseplants, African violets, etc. Four-inch to gallon pots are preferred; no oversized plants that are too heavy and hard to lift. Veggie and annual seedling plants are also appreciated and sell very well!
Bake Sale: Think about bringing attractively packaged jams, breads, cookies, etc as we will have the bake sale inside the church hall. This is good way for the bakers to contribute; we always look forward to delicious treats from your kitchen. Thank you to those that have signed up to help with the sale! Contact me with questions or to sign-up and help.

Fall Plant and Bake Sale

Bring your plants for the sale between 9:30 and 10AM so we have plenty of time to price and arrange. Please label with name or color of bloom, or a photo. Bring well rooted, potted plants in good condition that you would be proud to take home: waterwise-plants, perennials, succulents, winter veggies, houseplants, bulbs in packages of a dozen if large or more if smaller. Garden related items, plants stands, decorative pots, etc. are also welcom.

Sale starts at 11 AM till 12:45PM, with two for one bargains at the conclusion of the meeting.

The Bake Sale will be held inside Luther Hall. If you’re a baker, this is your chance to shine. We need small loaves of breads, pies, and cakes, cookies or bars decoratively packaged. Jams jellies and fruit from your trees are also welcome. Try to bring your goodies early so they can be priced and arranged. Remember this is our Fall fund raiser for the club and your chance to show your support. And please spread the word and tell your friends; all are welcome!

Thank you to the volunteers, who will price and arrange plants; bring a lunch and I will provide drinks and cookies.

Fall Plant and Bake Sale

The Fall Plant and Bake Sale takes place on Tuesday, September 24th, before our meeting. Proceeds are used to fund our wonderful speaker program and is a way for everyone to support our Club. Drop off plants around 9:30 at the picnic area so that we can price and arrange the tables; we will have helpers to unload your cars. Try and bring your bake sale items early as it makes set-up easier. Tell your friends about our Sale - ALL are welcome! Sale begins at 11 AM until 12:30 PM.

What to bring? Potted well-rooted plants, we prefer 4" or larger but nothing too big or heavy for us to lift. Label plants with Name, Sun or Shade, Color of bloom, How large it gets, etc. A photo of the plant always helps with the sale. Bulbs, including iris, glads, watsonia, freesias, cannas, scilla; Perennials, Grasses, Shrubs, Succulents, Houseplants, Herbs or Fall Veggies are all welcome. And nice Garden Accessories, Decorative Pots, Plant Stands are welcome as well. If you bring bulbs try putting them in plastic bags and label with color if possible. After the meeting, plants will be sold at “buy 1 at original price and get the 2nd plant at the same or lower price for free”.

Bake Sale takes place in our meeting room. Package your baked goods in easy to transport wrappings. Cookies, Cakes, Breads, Pickles, Jams are all good sellers. Lemons, Apples, all Fruits are welcome. Label goodies, especially if they contain nuts, or if they are gluten free.

Our garden volunteers always have fun; bring a lunch, I will provide juice and cookies. Susan Moss, Plant & Bake Sale Chair
