Climate Action by Elaine Salinger

Online Zoom meeting. Open to members only. For information on how to become a member, please send email to GCLAmembership@gmail.com.

Elaine Salinger is a retired veterinarian and native plant gardener, living in San Mateo, host of many native plant garden tours over the last few years. Lately, she has been mentoring high school students and giving presentations on climate change action. As the problem becomes more urgent, she is doing more outreach and volunteers over 40 hours/week. Salinger's presentation will include: What is the most effective solution to climate change? Why IS it the most effective solution? How can the United States enact this solution in a way that encourages the rest of the world to do the same? AND what can you do in less than two minutes a day to help?

Also at this month’s meeting, the Horticulture segment will cover Summer tree pruning.
