Christy Ross, founder of Planted Places, used to design living, planted walls for her clients. She migrated to planting edible greens and herbs and designed a vertical system for growing food while optimizing water usage. Her vertical system eliminated a lot of fail points that many people have when trying to grow their own food. Christy learned about nutrition and became inspired to help people get the most nutritious food into their bodies. She will share her expertise on how to grow organic, nutrient-dense, leafy greens and herbs in living soil in small containers year-round. Christy will also touch on the microbial process and what makes soil alive. You’ll be linked in to ideas for healthy food/drinks for entertaining in your own garden.

In many different ways, her company supports optimizing health through growing your own food, cooking classes and yoga for mindfulness. We welcome our fellow gardener, Christy, who believes, “Gardening is about having patience, having healthy habits and rituals, and being appreciative of what is happening in your environment.”
