We are proud to sponsor the Plant Exchange together with the Los Altos Recreation Department and support from the Los Altos History Museum.
Attendance is up at this popular event and so to avoid the delay at check-in, here is what you can do:
LABEL ALL PLANTS
Include name and flower color.
The #1 reason for delay is unmarked plants. If you have your plants labeled, you can go directly to check in and save time.
DO BRING
Rooted plants in pots (optional for succulents)
Bulbs
Cuttings
Small shrubs or trees
Cut cell packs into 6 sections
DIVIDE large clumps like agapanthus, bamboos, society garlic (no need to pot).
DO NOT BRING
Unmarked plants--have flower color at least!!! (Often we can help ID at check-in)
Wilted plants--(Would you want a wilted plant?....)
Weeds or invasive plants OR large undivided clumps.
HONOR SYSTEM OBSERVED HERE
Take in proportion to what you bring. Take only one of each type of plant, or 2-3 of a cutting or a bulb.
VOLUNTEER FOR A 30 MINUTE SHIFT
Choose set up from 8:45-10:00 a.m., or Check-In from 9:30-10:00 a.m., or clean up from 11:30-12:00 noon. Email Betty Lee at betlee59@gmail.com if you can help.
