Nancy Kruberg of Meadow Belles Farm in Portola Valley will explain how “Happy Soil Life Makes a Happy Garden” at our September Meeting. She began backyard composting in 1989 and started vermi composting in 2014 - Nancy says she really does enjoy the worms, the process and the results. Nancy became a Master Composter with the County of San Mateo in 2014, completed her Master Gardener training in San Mateo and San Francisco Counties in 2018. She has been studying the soil food web since 2015 and is currently in the Consultant Training Program with Dr. Elaine Ingham of Soil Foodweb, Inc. In 2016, Nancy completed Dr. Ingham’s Microscope Class and is fascinated with soil microbial life since.
