Fall Plant and Bake Sale

The Fall Plant and Bake Sale takes place on Tuesday, September 24th, before our meeting. Proceeds are used to fund our wonderful speaker program and is a way for everyone to support our Club. Drop off plants around 9:30 at the picnic area so that we can price and arrange the tables; we will have helpers to unload your cars. Try and bring your bake sale items early as it makes set-up easier. Tell your friends about our Sale - ALL are welcome! Sale begins at 11 AM until 12:30 PM.

What to bring? Potted well-rooted plants, we prefer 4" or larger but nothing too big or heavy for us to lift. Label plants with Name, Sun or Shade, Color of bloom, How large it gets, etc. A photo of the plant always helps with the sale. Bulbs, including iris, glads, watsonia, freesias, cannas, scilla; Perennials, Grasses, Shrubs, Succulents, Houseplants, Herbs or Fall Veggies are all welcome. And nice Garden Accessories, Decorative Pots, Plant Stands are welcome as well. If you bring bulbs try putting them in plastic bags and label with color if possible. After the meeting, plants will be sold at “buy 1 at original price and get the 2nd plant at the same or lower price for free”.

Bake Sale takes place in our meeting room. Package your baked goods in easy to transport wrappings. Cookies, Cakes, Breads, Pickles, Jams are all good sellers. Lemons, Apples, all Fruits are welcome. Label goodies, especially if they contain nuts, or if they are gluten free.

Our garden volunteers always have fun; bring a lunch, I will provide juice and cookies. Susan Moss, Plant & Bake Sale Chair
